HOUSE OF BLUES® CAMBRIDGE IS NOW CLOSED

HOUSE OF BLUES® ANNOUNCES SALE OF CAMBRIDGE VENUE; COMPANY WILL LOOK FOR ALTERNATIVE SITES FOR POSSIBLE EXPANSION.

HOLLYWOOD, CA — August 29, 2003
House of Blues® announced today that the company has sold its Cambridge venue and has initiated the process of looking for alternative sites that can accommodate a House of Blues comparable in size to those located in New Orleans, Chicago, or Los Angeles.

"The sale of our venue in Cambridge is a business decision that does not affect our commitment to the Boston area," said Dolf Berle, COO HOB Club Venues. "We have been in the Boston area for ten years, and we will continue to have a very strong presence there. We are also actively looking for alternative creative spaces that will have the look, feel and scale that House of Blues fans have come to expect."

The venue is scheduled to close on September 14. The restaurant, Gospel Brunch, and all HOB shows will continue until that date (including Sunday, September 14). Ticket holders for concerts that are after September 14 can get refunds at the point of purchase. There is also the possibility that some shows will be moved to another venue and ticket holders to these events will be alerted as soon as that is confirmed.
